Combining found and everyday objects that are repurposed as elements—to speak to the need for consumer consciousness and to be better choice makers about our environment. This monoprint uses traditional monoprint techniques including wiping away areas of colored ink (a subtractive method), adding ink on a surface for contrast, stamping (which I use a lot), stencils and also laying found objects (potato sack mesh, tin sardine cans, coffee tops, etc.) on top of the ink. In monoprinting, the image made is run through the press once - one and done! This allows for spontaneity and a good deal of innovation. I keep many found objects nearby from which to choose.
